No soy la que perturba tu sueño (2016)

La obra, compuesta por dos almohadas con relleno de lana local, trata de evocar ese uso de la lana que tradicionalmente ha sido tan básico pero que ya se ha perdido, creando un problema a nivel ecológico, pues se trata de un producto prácticamente indestructible y que actualmente no tiene ningún tipo de mercado. Por otra parte, el bordado de láser sobre las fundas de lino, que mantiene la forma y diseño del ‘punto de cruz’ tradicional pero en mayor dimensión, crea un efecto de huella muy similar a las que dejan los hilos de los antiguos bordados cuando éstos se deterioran y se estropean por el paso del tiempo. Esta técnica rompe con todo lo que se pueda entender como tradicional. El uso de ciertas técnicas y materiales son modas que vienen y van, y las corrientes Eco y Bio están recuperando el uso de la lana como relleno, sustituyendo de nuevo el uso de los materiales de moda (látex, espumas, etc.) que prodigaban mejor descanso y mayor higiene. Así, esta obra subraya que la recriminación del mal descanso no radica en el material de uso, siendo una conciencia tranquila la almohada más cómoda de todas.

Contenedores (2015)

Modelados con la apariencia estructural que reporta el barro o la cerámica en piezas similares, donde la técnica, el conocimiento de la materia y los tiempos de ejecución son importantes. Estos contenedores desvinculan la lana de su uso tradicional como vestimenta y abrigo humano para convertirla en algo más visual y menos funcional.

Diálogos (2016)

Algunas personas dejan huellas importantes en nuestras vidas, enriqueciéndolas; otras, en cambio, dejan cicatrices. No se puede evitar tropezar con piedras que encontramos en el camino, que nos hacen daño, nos causan heridas que con el tiempo van cicatrizando, algunas con ayuda. Otras heridas se cierran en falso, supuran en su intento de sanar en el tiempo. No podemos evitar tropezar con piedras, pero al final aprendemos a envolverlas para que su golpe haga menos daño en el recuerdo. Coser, bordar las aberturas y rasgados, arroparlas, cogerlas, mirarlas, entenderlas... para volverlas a poner en el camino, en el espacio que les corresponde, o abandonarlas…

I am not the one that disturbs your sleep (2016)

The work, made with two pillows filled with local wool, tries to recall the use of wool that has been traditionally basic but that is now lost, creating an ecological problem, because is an almost indestructible material that actually doesn´t have any kind of market. On the other hand, the laser embroidery over the linen pillowcases, that keeps the form and the design of the traditional stitch in a bigger dimension, creates a footprint effect similar to the one that the threads of the old embroideries when they become deteriorated as the time passes by. This techinque breaks with everything that can be understand as traditional. The use of certain techniques and materials are fashions that come and go, and the Eco & Bio currents have started recuperating the use of wool as a fillment, replacing the use of materials like latex and foam that use to provide better rest and more hygiene. Like this, this work highlights that the recrimination of the bad rest dosen´t lie in the material, being a relaxed conscience the most comfortable pillow of all.

Bowls (2015)

Shaped with a sturctural appearance that reminds the mud or ceramic in similar pieces, where the technicque, the knowledge of the material and the execution timing are very important. This containers disassociate the wool from her traditional use in clothes to transform it in something more visual and less functional.

Talks (2016)

Some people leave a positive mark in our live, others leave pain. It is inevitable to trip on stones that are on the way, they hurt us and cause wounds. Some wounds heal with time. Others wounds have a false closure, they suppurate trying to heal with time. It is inevitable to trip on stones but at the end we learn to wrap them so the impact is less painful in the memory. To sew, to embroider the holes and rips, to wrap them up, to hold them, to look at them, to understand them... to put them back on track where they belong or abandon them.
